The Rural Women and Girls’ Rights Foundation (RWGRF) is
a visible, women-led human rights and civil society
organization committed to empowering marginalized and
vulnerable women and girls in Liberia.
RWGRF was established in May of 2008 in Bong County,
Central Liberia.
The RWGRF is composed of a three-person management team
comprising the CEO/Executive Director, Program
Coordinator, and
Finance Manager. All of these positions are the core
staff that runs the organization.
The Management Team provides strategic leadership for
the institution through the implementation of
organizational policies and coordinates the rolling out
of programs/projects. Both the Finance Manager and
Program Coordinator report to the CEO/ED. The Management
Team, headed by the CEO/Executive Director, reports to
the Board of
Directors. The board members are five in number; all
females.
For every project, there is a full-time staff who serves
as a supervisor directly responsible for the
implementation. Similarly, for every project, there is a
finance assistant.
Skills Training: Offering vocational training programs in areas such as tailoring, assorted kernel oil soap making, processing dry palm kernel into oil, agriculture, and entrepreneurship. Microfinance Support: Providing microloans and financial literacy training to women entrepreneurs and to establish community saving groups. Market Access: Facilitating access to markets for women-led businesses and cooperatives.
